Who uses LRP Baume like that? Isn't it meant to be a thin layer?

My friends are shocked. I use this product, it's super thick and rich (and amazing!), and as far as I know, a thin layer is enough.

But I saw a video where she slaps on a huge amount on her face and lets it dry! (Because it clearly isn't absorbing).

Also, it's pricey!

Looks like a social media trend that started on TikTok. I've seen a few Instagram reels where people are doing the same.

I mean there's no strict rule against using it like that; it forms a good occlusive layer and won't get rubbed off while you sleep. Sure, it's a lot, but not so much that it's wasteful, and from the looks of it she seems to tolerate and like it that way.

Maybe she has really dry skin? Also she's using her cream. What's the fuss about?

LRP is also commonly used as an overnight sleeping mask.

Slugging is the term many influencers use, whether it's that baby diaper rash cream with zinc for acne, Vaseline petroleum jelly, or any of these thick creams! It's definitely not a good idea for oily skin types. I have oily skin and only a light layer works for me; even my dermatologist says that as long as you apply it properly, there's no need for three layers of moisturizers. And who's going to repurchase all these expensive moisturizers again and again anyway?

Arjun

You can use it as a thick mask and leave it on overnight.
