Just drop it in with your eggs, switch off the gas when you're done, and wait for the color to change. I wait till it turns completely colourless, but you can use it for soft or medium boiled eggs too. It's a cheap and easy way to get perfect boiled eggs without committing to an electric boiler.

Come on, it's not that hard. Boil some water, add your eggs, set a timer for 11 minutes, and you're done. For hard boiled eggs, that's all you need. Just don't reduce the heat after you add the eggs.
