Never order from Zomato! Got only chole, no bhature - AI support useless

Hope this reaches a lot of people because this has become common with quick‑commerce apps. They're supposed to be about convenience, but they're a real pain.

Last night I ordered Chole bhature (Order# 812774 8423) through Zomato. The box came sealed with the bill stapled. When I opened it, there was only the chole and some stale salad – no bhature at all.

I called the restaurant owner and he said on the phone, "The bhature was left at the shop," then blamed the delivery guy for not taking the second packet and hung up.

The package I got was sealed, and the delivery guy told me the restaurant gave him just one sealed box.

When I asked the owner for a refund or a fresh delivery, he refused, saying he won't send bhature to a place 7 km away and told me to deal with the company. Now he's ignoring my calls. For a loss of just 100‑150 rupees he became rude and uncooperative.

These days Zomato's support is run by useless AI bots. I'm stuck in a loop where the bot only says "feedback submitted" and offers no solution. It's not about the money – my dinner and mood are ruined.

I will never order from Zomato again. These multi‑billion‑dollar companies add platform fees, surge fees, night‑and‑rain fees on already overpriced items, yet they can't handle a simple mistake.

The same thing happened to me two days ago. They emailed saying I didn't provide enough proof that an item was missing. It was my first time facing a missing item, and I still don't know what to do.

Bruh, I got a non‑veg dish in my veg order. The AI support is terrible. I even sent an email, but got no reply for 7‑8 months.

Anupama

Forget about the bhature – did you tip the delivery partner?

Chetan

Yes, the order was just one item. If you had ordered two different dishes or two of the same, they would have refunded or given a discount on your next order.

Sumit

At least you got the chole. I placed an order, but the delivery guy marked it as delivered without actually delivering and ignored my calls. Zomato's in‑app AI kept telling me to email, and I haven't gotten any reply for two days.

Post about it on X and tag them. These companies only respond properly when they're called out publicly.

Vaishali

It's weird that they charge both us and the restaurant, yet the support for both is terrible.

Email them about your issue and ask for a resolution. Keep following up until it's fixed. I had a similar problem and had to email them five times. If they still don't help, threaten to report them to a government authority.
