Hate horoscope matching – lost a good match

I've been in the arranged marriage process for the last few months and I can't take it any longer because it's so exhausting. I don't believe in horoscopes, and neither does my family, yet they still insist on checking a match that way. Most of the good matches I've gotten have rejected me because the boy's family checked the horoscopes and they didn't match. Usually families approach first and then compare horoscopes. My parents keep getting hopeful every time they receive a call.

I recently got another potentially good match, but they turned me down because of the horoscope.

I'm really annoyed now. I've looked at hundreds of profiles on matrimonial sites and I'm very disappointed with this system.

Is it really a good match if they reject your profile just because of the horoscope?

Pallavi

Everyone has their own criteria, hota hai.

That's nothing – wait till your horoscope matches you with men you'd never want. I wonder how the planets became a factor only in the last 50 years out of 4 billion years of existence.

Neeraj

How do we deal with missing good matches for any reason?

Sandeep

I've lost tons of matches because of horoscopes. Sometimes it's the pandit's verdict, sometimes even if we're willing to overlook it, the girl's parents still reject because of the horoscope.

Can you DM me? I'm a 27‑year‑old male, don't believe in horoscopes, and would like to chat. I'm also in the arranged‑marriage process.

Latha

Hahaha, I've been stuck in the horoscope hellhole for 4 years, friend. I've seriously spoken to only about 4‑5 people because of it.
