MSc Microbiology career options

My wife, who has a MSc in Microbiology, has one year of experience as a Quality Analyst at Venkys. After a career break for childbirth, she's now getting ready to re‑enter the workforce. I'm looking for advice on possible career paths for her. I thought about teaching because I'm worried about pay in the microbiology field. What would you recommend? Thanks
