I see a lot of complex, elaborate routines here, so I wanted to share my very simple one.

1. Bioderma Atoderm Gel Douche cleanser - I got this free with the moisturizer and liked it, so I kept using it. Before that I was on Dot and Key's blue one. It leaves the skin fresh and clean. Must follow up with moisturizer right away.
2. BoJ Aquafresh sunscreen - I've talked about this many times and will keep doing so. Every other sunscreen made me break out or felt greasy. This one is lightweight, gives good protection, doesn't cause breakouts and sits nicely under makeup. A solid formula that works.
3. Bioderma Atoderm Crème Ultra moisturizer - I use it at night under the retinoid. It's hydrating, non‑greasy and doesn't clog pores or cause breakouts.
4. Foxtale Acne Spot Correction Gel - I don't get acne often now, but when I do (like recently after a whey protein shake gave me a breakout, you can see the post‑inflammatory hyperpigmentation in the pics), I dab this gel on each night. It helps.
5. Bioderma lip balm - a plain, non‑tinted balm. Moisturises well and makes lips look plump. I've used the same one in the photos.
6. Tretinoin + Azelaic Acid cream - this is the only active I use. THIS IS A PRESCRIPTION CREAM, so get it after consulting your dermatologist.

Routine:
AM - splash face with water only, then apply BoJ sunscreen.
PM - cleanse, moisturise, apply tretinoin+AzA cream, then lip balm.

I used to chase every new trendy product and it never worked. I had a lot of acne until about a year ago. Then I stripped everything down to this bare‑minimum routine and it gave me the best results. My skin isn't perfect but it's a long way from how it used to be. I stick to these products now and don't plan to change anytime soon. Maybe with age I'll add some extra hydration, but for now I'm good.

Xtralite is a great formula, wish I could use it but I've been prescribed Taz and AzA separately.

How long have you been using Xtramild? I've been on azelaic acid for about 3 months, just bumped it up to 15% from 10% to clear very mild rosacea and occasional acne. Redness has gone down but the skin is a bit bumpy. Does adding tretinoin help any further?

After a tiring day, Bioderma crème feels so good on the face. Bioderma Atoderm crème for life - I love it a lot.

I also love the facewash but it's too pricey for me, so Dove soap works. I switch to CleanseMe facewash when my skin feels dry.

Does the azelaic and tret cream itch? I've had a bad experience with azelaic acid - it always itched for about an hour. Right now I'm just using tretinoin; it's been 6 months but my comedones are still hanging around.
