The Copilot button is really a headache. I type without looking at the keyboard, it's just a reflex, but I keep hitting the Copilot button instead of the left-arrow key. It created a huge problem in an OA where switching apps or tabs isn't allowed.

Here you go:
- Download and install PowerToys (you can get it from the Microsoft Store or straight from Microsoft's website).
- Open the app and go to the Keyboard Manager tab on the left.
- Ensure Keyboard Manager is turned on.
- Click 'Remap a key'.
- Click 'Add key remapping' to create a new rule.
- In the Physical Key section, click 'Select' and press your Copilot key.
- In the Mapped To dropdown, choose 'Disabled'.
- Click OK to save the changes.

And they actually advertise it as making life easier... but it's useless.

Vikas

They removed a Ctrl key, so now I can't hit Ctrl+P with one hand.

Copilot integration into laptops is one of the worst things that's happened in ages. I get that they want to bundle their own product with the OS, but that's where I draw the line.

Mohan

I remapped the key to open and close the Recycle Bin.

Then just take it out... I'd suggest using those door-knob-shaped keycaps for it.

Mohit

You can disable it in the settings.

In business laptops like ThinkPad, they provide both the Copilot key and the right-Ctrl key, but consumer-grade laptops only get the Copilot key...
