I accidentally ordered a lot of soy without checking the amount, so now I have to eat it daily.

Priya

I've been taking it; it's a plant-based protein source and easy on the gut.

Yes, it's perfectly fine to eat. It's one of the few plant-based sources that can match meat in nutrition, with a complete amino-acid profile. The phyto-estrogen myth has been debunked many times. Have fun!

Rajendra

There's no scientific proof that it's bad for us. Just remember moderation is key - 50 g a day won't be problematic.

It's my third day eating 100 g daily; I'll let you know how it goes after three months.

No, it's great for vegans and vegetarians. Soy has been used for centuries in China and Japan, and it does not lower testosterone - that's a myth. Watch this video - https://youtu.be/lMM7KssiNn0?si=CkyEVy7x0_9aVX6a

Unless you're eating 20 kg of soy a day, no, it's not a problem. Stop believing the estrogen hype that comes from a rat study where the male rat was fed an amount equivalent to 20 kg/100 kg of its body weight every day for six months. 100 g won't do anything; in fact it supports heart health.

EDIT: I saw you're a woman, so the above doesn't matter to you.

Norman

Bruh, I had one katori of soya with rice yesterday and I was farting all night. I guess it's not for me. I don't have any issues with chicken, eggs, or even rajma. But you do you.

Michael

Soya chunks daily are totally fine, but don't buy random brands. Fortune is the best brand for soya chunks in the market and it's reliable.
