Inframe: Khatta Meetha - The first half is pure comedy gold with some truly memorable scenes. You'd never expect it to go dark so quickly. There were a few hints here and there, but the shift still felt totally unexpected. Which other movies do you think have a similar tone change in the second half?

Siddharth

In Hindi: Ishq (1997). A foreign example would be From Dusk till Dawn.

Aishwarya

The movie begins with a son seeking revenge for his father in the first half. In the second half the director seems to lose the plot, doing everything except focusing on the son's revenge, which finally happens in the last 20 minutes.

Lavanya

Maa Behen (2026) - starts as a fun murder mystery but turns into a sad reflection of society.

Nitin

Ishq (1997) - starts as comedy and shifts to melodrama.

Shailesh

Parasite, Ishq, Aankhein (Govinda), Chupke Chunk - all examples of tone shifts.

Simran

Bank Chor... I seriously doubt anyone has seen this.

Priya

Sholay - the first half feels like a comedy, while the second half brings the action.

Damini

Rang De Basanti - the second half gets pretty heavy.
