"Well she can hide a phone in there" - then they need better scanners to detect electronics instead of humiliating a poor girl because they don't have proper equipment. No one should be tortured, humiliated or demeaned just because some might try to cheat. The fault of inadequate systems shouldn't fall on innocent people, especially children.

Unfortunately this seems common for NEET students. In many centres they ask a girl if she's on her period and, if she says yes, they check her pads. It's really shameful.

The female staff checking her might be wrong, but people are saying she was forced to strip in front of male guards. We can't blame NTA completely because we've seen cheating using undergarments. I even saw underwear printed with the periodic table - someone could use that. If a candidate cheats, they could write directly on their clothes instead of pads, so checking pads alone is useless. To stop that, you'd have to inspect every student's undergarments, which becomes actual harassment. Checking pads makes some sense if someone lies about their period, but it's a thin line.

I'm a guy and they checked me 4-5 times even after a thorough first check. First they made me remove my socks and shoes, then the metal detector scanned me at two different spots. Each time they were overly invasive, touching me repeatedly. It felt uncomfortable - if it weren't called a check, it would be considered molestation. They're blaming a paper leak, but now they're harassing students in the name of security. They even banned us from carrying coins. If they have such problems, they should improve internal security and provide space for our belongings, you incompetent idiots.
