Hi everyone,

I'm a 19‑year‑old girl, 5'5" tall. Three months back I was 58 kg and wanted to cut belly fat and improve my overall look. By sticking to regular workouts and better food choices I'm now 52 kg and the photos show the progress.

Goal:
- Lose belly fat
- Improve body composition
- Build a healthier, fitter lifestyle

Diet:
- Stayed in a calorie deficit throughout
- Focused on high‑protein, whole‑food meals
- Cut down junk and sugary snacks
- Drank plenty of water

Average daily intake:
- Calories: 1,800‑2,000 kcal
- Protein: 85‑105 g

Workout split:
- Trained 5‑6 days a week
- Mix of strength training and cardio

Sample week:
Day 1: Upper body + cardio
Day 2: Lower body + core
Day 3: Cardio
Day 4: Upper body
Day 5: Lower body + core
Day 6: Cardio/active recovery

Challenges:
- Staying consistent with diet
- Managing cravings
- Trusting the process when progress slowed

What changed:
- Lost 6 kg
- Belly fat visibly reduced
- Better fitness and confidence
- Healthier habits

Question for the community: I'm happy with the fat‑loss, but not sure what to focus on next. Should I keep cutting, maintain my weight, or start a lean‑muscle phase? Any critique and suggestions would be great.

Just keep going and lower calories a bit whenever you hit a plateau, averaging weekly. This is amazing progress!!

Gaurav

Wow, good job. I suggest you keep cutting for another 2‑3 months until you hit a plateau, then stay at maintenance calories for 2‑4 weeks, and after that focus on gaining lean muscle by a slight surplus.

Gregg

Your BMI is around 19, which is fine. 52 kg is a healthy weight. Maybe you could focus on building lean muscle mass.

Khushi

Focus on building lean muscle and aim for around 54 kg.

Congrats! I don't think you should keep cutting beyond your current frame. My weight is at the lower end of healthy for my height, and dropping below a certain point can cause periods to stop, hair loss, and low mood, especially for women. Some body fat is essential. Maybe try a slight surplus with progressive overload. Good job ^

It looks like you might have lost some muscle in the first picture; you seemed more muscular before, judging by your arms. Not an expert though.

Nitin

Even the before picture doesn't look very fat to me. Your tummy shows the real fat.

I've noticed that when I gain weight, my stomach is the first place it shows. I think that's common for most girls and losing belly fat is really tough. I'm impressed by your result - that's what consistency and dedication look like. Thanks for sharing the useful info. ❤️

Mods - if this post gets removed for being a thirst‑trap or karma‑farm, I'll lose hope. I've seen you delete posts of a woman doing two‑finger pull‑ups and another doing squats or deadlifts.
