Anyone annoyed by how fitness influencers talk about food?

Maybe I'm being dramatic, but does anyone else get put off by the way some fitness influencers talk about food?

"Kyu ice cream ke naam par cheeni thoos rahe ho?" "Kyu subah poha, upma lapet rahe ho?" "Gande tel wali papdi chaat lapet rahe ho?"

After hearing this enough times, I actually felt bad for eating ice‑cream one morning (yeah, I know it's not healthy, but it was after a month or so).

My issue isn't the nutrition advice. I know ice cream isn't healthy. I know chaat isn't the most nutrient‑dense thing. But the way some creators talk about food feels unnecessarily shame‑y.

There's a big difference between educating people and making them feel guilty for eating normal food. One helps build better habits, the other just adds food guilt. I want nutrition advice, not a lecture that makes me feel like I committed a crime because I had ice cream on a Tuesday.

If your content makes people ashamed of everything that isn't Greek yogurt or protein powder, that's not a healthy relationship with food at all.

They're just doing it for views and engagement; most of them feel cringe to me.

Gaurav

Just turn off Instagram; you'll feel a lot better.

Lavanya

Reading this while feasting and having a beer.

These influencers act like we have to live in a jail or something.

I'll eat a deep‑fried aloo tikki chaat if I want to, not some air‑fried soy version.

Nakul

Bhai, that's why I unfollowed them - they're all equally annoying.

Sharmila

If you stop using Instagram, your life supposedly improves by 176 %. Trust me, bro.

Mohan

I can't stand her; she adds protein powder to everything and calls it high‑protein.

Pranav

She literally adds paneer to EVERYTHING and calls it a day.

Keerthi

Her way of talking is incredibly annoying, especially that "atram shatram" line. I think I'll mute or unfollow.

Tejas

She's a hypocrite - rants about added sugar and palm oil, then promotes wafers and bars from SuperYou.

Arif

So they show a 'high‑protein breakfast'... then just toss a scoop of protein powder into it.
