I work at a law firm in Delhi, originally from Mumbai. After spending enough time in Delhi I realised I just can't click with Delhi guys - no offence, we're just very different. I met a guy from Pune on Hinge and we went on a few dates, even a concert. He's really sweet; he brings lilies every time we meet. He works at a hospital, so you can tell he's patient enough to let me win at Banza and Duron during our Sunday board-game nights. I didn't tell my family for six months, but when I finally gathered the courage I did, especially since they were already looking for a match. I'm 25 and not sure I'm ready to settle yet... Then, out of the blue, my mom got in touch with an aunt who does matchmaking and she sent over a portfolio of my boyfriend's cousin‑brother. I mean, what are the odds? I told my parents about my boyfriend and they were surprised too. Being parents, they were a bit hesitant about the fact that his cousin is a businessman, but soon they agreed to meet him.

Aww, that's so special. Best wishes from a Delhi guy!

Can I ask what differences you notice with Delhi guys? I'm in Mumbai on vacation, exploring the city. I find that when I ask a Mumbaikar for help, they're friendly and the chat flows, but as soon as they know I'm from Delhi the conversation dries up and they become guarded, especially the girls. It feels a bit unwelcoming. There are some cute exceptions, but most behave like that. Could you tell me what I should avoid doing so they feel comfortable around me?
