Indian women's recurve team beats China, clinches WC gold in Shanghai

Our women's recurve archery squad made history by beating host China in a nail-biting shoot-off to grab gold at Archery World Cup Stage 2 in Shanghai. The trio - Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat and Kumkum Mohod - kept their cool in a final that finished 4-4, then edged it 5-4 in the shoot-off. It was extra sweet because we had already upset South Korea in the semis and then took down China right in front of their home fans. This is India's first women's recurve team World Cup gold since 2021 and everyone's hailing it as a big moment for Indian archery.
