Took permission from the mods. Instead of posting the code here and letting a bot snatch it, I'll run a giveaway. You may wonder why. I remember scraping together money for months just to buy a single game. Now I'm stable enough to give back, so I'm giving away ₹1,000 (Steam or Google Play) to a random commenter. To enter:
1) Tell us what first hooked you on gaming.
2) Name your favourite game and why you love it.
It's 19:35 hrs now, and I'll pick a random commenter at 22:00 hrs today.
All the best!

Hey, I don't need this, but it's really nice of you.

1) Friends, I was terrible at Fortnite at first, but playing with friends made it fun.
2) AC Revelations - it actually made me cry.

Silksong got me into gaming, and now I want to play co-op games like Pratfall and Far Far West with my buddies. I've only played Silksong so far, but it'll always be one of the best games I've experienced.

What hooked me up was finding friends online. My favourite game is Sekiro because I loved grinding it just for fun.

Daksha

My favourite game has to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (the old version). It was one of my first games. I still remember being six, struggling to hit the bots in Normal mode. I've definitely come a long way since then.

This post isn't verified by the mods. The OP asked if a giveaway was allowed and we said okay. No verification has been done on whether he actually has the code.

What first hooked me on gaming was when I was seven and my dad bought me a cheap Chinese console - a mix of NES and N64 with Mario and the lot. I fell in love instantly. Later there was a gaming shop with a PS2 near our house; I'd watch God of War and SmackDown and got hooked on Resident Evil and GTA. I kept playing ever since. Even though my dad and I don't talk much now, I'm grateful for that gaming-filled childhood.

The way games can transport you to another world and pull you right into it is amazing. CP is my favourite because its world just draws you in and keeps you hooked.

For me it started with Max Payne. It's an old title, but I began playing it back in 2014 because my old laptop couldn't run modern games. The game was gripping - challenging gameplay, mind-blowing story, and it left a lasting impact. After finishing it I moved on to Max Payne 2. I wanted Max Payne 3 too, but my laptop still struggled. Since then I've shifted mostly to Android gaming, mainly Pokémon Go. Thanks for reading!

The best memory with my dad is him introducing me to online games. He used to download games from MyPlayCity and another site, and we'd play Star Defenders together. I wasn't very good at first, so I mostly watched him, but eventually I caught up. I still remember him showing me the MyPlayCity website - it was crazy. The download speed was only 50-60 kbps, but once we tried early morning around 5 am and got about 200 kbps, which felt amazing! He'd often download one or two games for me when I woke up late. Good times. Thanks for this, OP!
