68‑yr‑old, 10 cr net worth – played it too safe?

I'm not used to posting here, I usually just read, but thought I'd share.

I'm 68, retired a few years ago. I worked a regular corporate job all my life—nothing fancy. No business, no big risks, just salary and gradual saving/investing.

My net worth is roughly 10 cr (give or take):
- ~4.5 cr in mutual funds (mostly safe large‑cap types)
- 2 cr in FD/bonds
- 2.5 cr in a rental property (not counting the house I live in)
- about 1 cr in cash and other stuff

My monthly expenses are around 1‑1.5 L, no loans, kids are settled and don't depend on me.

But when I read posts here, people in their 30s‑40s are already talking about 5 cr, 20 cr, startups, ESOPs... it makes me wonder if I played too safe.

I never took big risks. I had a few ideas back then but didn't pursue them... always thought job security was better. Now everything is stable, no money stress, but I still feel maybe I could've done more.

Not sure if at my age I should even think about taking risks now, lol, or just chill and not overthink.

So yeah, just wanted to ask:

Am I behind for my age or is this fine?
What would you do if you were in my shoes now?

What would you do if you had, say, 25 cr? At 68 you probably won't splurge on food, clothes or gimmicky stuff that many redditors chase. You could spend a lot on international travel and enjoy a luxury lifestyle for a while. Such an amount can change your lifestyle, and the real question becomes: what's stopping you from doing that now?
