Believe it or not, it started as a tourism tagline back in the 80s/90s and just stuck.

I've been to Kerala three times, and that first breath of air in Munnar or the quiet on a houseboat in Alleppey never gets old. Kerala has its own vibe - everything just slows down. I was sitting on the Varkala cliff last year watching the sunset; it's one of the rare spots where reality actually lives up to the Instagram hype. Did you get to see a Kathakali or a Kalaripayattu show while you were there? They add a cool layer to the whole 'divine' feel.

Bro, this so-called god's country - I've travelled everywhere, but how can a god's country be so humid and hot? Only the Kanan Devan hills were actually cool.
