Considering old job, will my existing PF be affected if I switch back?

I recently joined a new company, but I'm thinking of going back to my old employer - should I be concerned about my PF which is already set up?

I'm in a bit of a tough spot,  I worked for around 5.5 years at my first job, and 7 months at my second job.  I left my second job for a new role that seemed better, but it turns out it's not all that great and I'm reconsidering my decision after just 3 weeks.  I got in touch with my old manager and they're willing to take me back as long as there's no cooling period, since I left on good terms - still waiting to hear more about it.  I haven't told them that I've joined another company yet, since it's only been 3 weeks and I don't want to add this to my resume. But I noticed that a PF account has already been created, and I don't want to mess up my career with two short stints.  I also don't want to deal with the BGV verification, which can be pretty strict at my old employer - they ask for your PF passbook and history.  If things don't work out and I have to look for another job, these short stints will definitely cause me some trouble. What's the best way to handle this situation?

Not much you can do, PF history can't be changed and trying to manipulate it is risky. If your old employer is willing to take you back, just be honest with them and maybe they'll overlook this and take you back.
