What's wrong with some girls these days

The moment I matched with a girl, she hit me with this question:

'Scotland me job karke bhi aapki salary itni hi hai, to aap waha kyun jaa rahe ho?'

She's a teacher in India earning about 3 lakh a year, and she's judging me for earning £60‑80k a year in Scotland.

She doesn't realise how tough it is to get a visa‑sponsored job, survive the current market with all the layoffs, and live on your own, yet she keeps judging.

I thought I could compromise on looks and education, but this is what I got!

Many parents from the older generation messed up when it came to truly educating their daughters – and I don't mean just sending them to school for a paper degree!

Ankita

Maybe she was looking for the best employee or deal rather than a partner.

Kavitha

You don't have to answer that. Just ignore it and move on to the next chat.

Amitabh

Why would she care how hard it is for you to survive? Everyone's judging everyone in the arranged‑marriage market.

Deepika

At least she didn't ask you, 'Can you support someone like me?'

Rajendra

Never lower your expectations – you won't get any better. Speaking from personal experience.

Maybe she was just trying to understand your mindset and the pros and cons you considered. Still, she could have phrased it better.

Pankaj

Don't compromise. Low‑earning women often lack a sense of reality and can be greedy. Marry someone who may not work but at least appreciates your effort, or someone high‑earning who understands the struggles and values your abilities.

Ira

She must be the mod of the r/askindianwomen subreddit.

I feel you, OP. Living in the UK with the current job market is an achievement in itself – I work in Nottingham. Keep going!
