Switched from Samsung S25 Ultra to OnePlus 15

I moved from the S25 Ultra to the OnePlus 15 because the S25 was only giving me 2-3 hrs of screen-on time from 100% down to 10%. I'd had the S25U for about 11 months and earlier it gave me 4-5 hrs SOT (it should have been 9-10 hrs) but I ignored it. Eventually it became unusable – I had to charge it 4-5 times a day. The OnePlus 15 now gives me solid battery life, around 10 hrs SOT, so I only need to charge once a day.

Congrats on the new phone! Have you checked whether the battery is faulty? The SOT you're seeing is way low for an S25U. Mine easily lasts all day, at least 6-8 hrs SOT.

I switched from OnePlus 7 Pro to the S24 Ultra... I still have the S24 Ultra. If Samsung keeps this up, I might switch back to OnePlus next year.

Did you try resetting the S25U? Samsung's OS updates sometimes mess up battery life, and the bloatware – Samsung and Microsoft apps – is pretty heavy.

What were you doing with your Ultra? I easily get 6 hrs SOT on my S25U.

Yaar, I'm really disappointed with Samsung after what you said. I've been using the S25 Ultra for a year and I get about 10 hrs SOT in normal day-to-day use. In the Indian version, when it's summer outside, the battery can't survive – it drops to just 4-5 hrs, so I have to carry a power bank. The worst part is there's no MagSafe, so I can't just stick a power bank onto it. I'm still stuck with the One UI experience and I've been a lifelong Samsung fan. I tried the iPhone 16 Pro Max and, to be fair, it's rubbish. I have a OnePlus 12 and I can't deny it's a great phone, but I dropped it and the curved display shattered completely.
