In that scene, it's lovely how Maithili slowly picks up Prem's quirky habits because she's falling for him. Prem never hides his true self around her, even with all the royal expectations and formalities. The softness of their bond feels so comforting and nostalgic.

Looks like they shot this in Europe; otherwise they wouldn't be drinking water straight from the tap.

Deepak Dobriyal's cameo was one of my favourite moments in the film.

PRDP may be over the top, but the songs, visuals and pure Salman madness make it a fun comfort watch ✨

Aarti

Can't believe he was 50 in this film; he looked incredibly handsome, especially as Prem Dilwale.

I was scared nobody liked this film, but it's actually in my top five favourites. I get the criticism that Maithili doesn't have an arc beyond the male lead, but I kinda disagree. Some say Prem is obsessed with her even before they meet - I think he does want to connect with the royal family, and she shows her own kindness, generosity and even anger at being mistreated. I love how Prem brings out her fun side after she feels lost, and her songs are the best - I'm obsessed! Sure, Prem does obsess over Maithili, but he puts in the effort to make her happy instead of just expecting it. His line about "making your princess happy" also shows he cares about the whole family. I'm glad we didn't get a "you used me" moment; she instantly sees the difference between the prince and Prem, and his answer seals why she loves him. The comic relief fell flat - the brother was too dumb and Prem's friends felt unnecessary. The theme "don't let your parents' mistakes destroy your family" really hits home. My favourite part, aside from the romance, is how Prem figures out how to keep the family together while the prince can't. The ending may be unrealistic, but I love that they repay Prem's kindness and ensure Maithili's happiness - it feels like a realistic happy ending in the story's world. Wishing everyone the best.

I always thought I was the only one who liked this film. The songs are just beautiful too.
