I just need to vent and check if anyone else feels the same about this whole Dhoni drama.

First, the management gave us a 2-3 week injury excuse. Then he was left out of the rest of the games with no explanation. Now CSK is playing what looks like their last match of the season and still no Thala in the XI.

It feels like the injury was just a convenient cover to phase him out quietly. If this is how a living legend bows out, the franchise has totally botched it.

Are they hiding something behind the scenes? Share your thoughts on this mess!

Vikram

He's basically retired; they just haven't announced it officially.

Pavithra

He's unofficially retired. They just keep asking 'when is he going to play?'

Harry

Lavanya

He's unofficially retired. From a business point of view, Thala's presence keeps the franchise thriving, so the stakeholders are probably squeezing out the maximum.

Pranay

Mohammed Siraj is on fire - 3 wickets in just 10 deliveries.

Madhu

Waiting for the retirement announcement. After the World Cup semi-final loss he declared his retirement, so we're expecting the same this time.

Saad

A site called CricBlogger ran an article - don't know how reliable it is - but it says CSK management hinted at moving to younger players. Dhoni wasn't part of the auction or retention talks, nor the Samson-Jadeja trade, which apparently annoyed him.

Irfan

He's gone, bro. He's already 45, so let him enjoy his time. He might turn up next season at Chepauk, or he could quit IPL forever.

Naveen

Something's off. This isn't the Dhoni we know. He's so passionate that even when he's not fit he'd sit in the dugout and guide the youngsters. Yet he isn't even coming to the stadium, though he does attend net sessions.
