I just picked up the base Galaxy S25 for around 40k. I went with the Samsung-exclusive Coral Red color, but the real story is how I pulled off the exchange for my 4-year-old S22 Plus without it getting rejected on the spot. My S22+ was in bad shape - it had deep dents from a bike fall and a first-floor drop, and the battery was dropping 1-2% a minute, shutting down randomly, and reaching temps of over 60 degrees Celsius.

Local shops and online sites lowballed me at 10k max. But I used my student ID for a 5k discount on the S25 and got a 17k exchange value with Samsung's upgrade bonus.

To keep my S22+ alive, I packed a survival kit - 4 thermos bottles with ice cubes, 2 regular water bottles, and 2 steel lotas. I kept it in a makeshift ice bath while charging and pre-installed the diagnostic app. I even colored in the dents with a black permanent marker to camouflage the damage.

The delivery guy ran the diagnostic test, but it kept failing. I took over, and despite the phone getting scorching hot, I forced it through the tests. I factory reset the device, and amazingly, it passed both the software test and visual check.

I got the full 17k exchange credit and 5k student discount. I paid around 40,450 rupees in the end. Please recommend some good cases and tempered glass.

I had a similar story exchanging my S22. It had a motherboard issue, and I managed to get a good deal. I was ready for a fight and even put the phone in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before the exchange.

Congrats bro but remember to leave 10GB free storage on your phone and avoid software updates in hot environments or while charging.

For a sleek cover, go for Nillkin, Pitaka, or Blueo Aramid Fiber case. For max protection, try Ringke or UAG.
