2 States - Underrated

2 States starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is one of the most underrated modern romantic dramas in Bollywood. The film feels emotional, engaging and very well executed. It moves at a quick pace without any unnecessary fluff, so the drama feels natural.

Every time I watch it I'm completely hooked on the story, and the climax still brings me to tears. The love story feels fresh and relatable compared to the usual Bollywood romances.

Both leads, along with their families, deliver strong performances and their chemistry works beautifully throughout. I'm almost convinced Ronit Roy is a toxic dad in real life! The soundtrack is also great, especially the song "Man mast magan".

In my view, if audiences appreciated grounded romantic dramas more, 2 States would easily score above 8.5 on IMDb.

Chaandaniya is a beautiful song too! The whole album is superb. The film explores cultural differences nicely and the cast delivers great performances, especially Ronit Roy, Revathy and Amrita Singh alongside the lead pair.

My favourite scene is when Ananya resolves Minti's wedding stand‑off.
