I lose a lot of hair every time I wash my hair. I wash it once every four days and it's thin, curly and dry. I also lose a lot of hair while using conditioner and detangling.

I saw a doctor and he said it'll get better soon – just a generic answer.

What do you think?

See another dermatologist and get a blood test done.

Use egg white as shampoo twice a week and give your hair proper sunlight, or take a vitamin D3 supplement and get a blood test to check for deficiencies. You can also try not using shampoo at all.

Namrata

This isn't normal. Please get your blood work done and see a dermatologist.

Lift less weight. Slowly shift to cardio. Keep lean mass. Avoid stress. Eat a balanced meal.

Go to a dermatologist.

That's called Telogen Effluvium. Below are the common causes – have you experienced any of these in the last few weeks?

* Physical Stress: High fever, severe infection (e.g., COVID-19), surgery or serious illness.
* Dietary Factors: Rapid weight loss, crash diets, iron or protein deficiency.
* Hormonal Changes: Post-childbirth (post-partum alopecia) or stopping birth-control pills.
* Psychological Stress: Major life events.

If it's TE, you'll recover about 60-70% of your hair in the next six months. I've gone through it myself after losing weight too quickly.

Go to a dermatologist. Start minoxidil if possible. Save your follicles so you don't end up needing a hair transplant.

It really comes down to your lifestyle... what is it?

How's your genetics? Any balding issues in your family?

Ravindra

Bro, try a keratin treatment and biotin. Also use raw coconut or mustard oil along with omega-3. Hope this helps.
