Sadness hits when you smile just to hide the pain

You can point fingers elsewhere, but Bumrah himself has been bowling mediocre deliveries this season. If it weren't for his reputation, he'd have been hit a lot more. Something's gone into his head – he bowled a slower ball at Sooryavanshi's legs to get him out. That's pure arrogance. People aren't committing to him; otherwise those full tosses would be hitting the stands.

Tushar

When Arshdeep smiles after a wide or a bad spell, people start saying things like "WiDeDeEp SiNgH" and "He doesn't have focus on bowling, he's busy making reels."

Sonia

Give him a break for 2-3 matches; he's not doing himself or the team any good like this. He needs a reset, both mentally inside MI and physically as well.

Rekha

One might just put on a smile to hide all the pain, sorrow, confusion and depression.

Rishi

Give him some rest, ffs. I read he was at NCC just before this season and his pace has dropped a lot – I think the management is pressurising players like Bum, Rohit and even Hardik. They're not hiding it, it's toxic. Even last year MI only started winning when Bumrah came back from injury – how can you rely on one bowler who also carries ICT in Tests, bro? I think legends should quit teams where they're not respected, but then again Bumrah and Rohit aren't like that, you know.

Nath

A petition to get Bumrah released so he can join a better side.

Vandana

Every batsman gets extra cautious when Bumrah is bowling; they don't want to lose their wickets. Even without taking wickets in five matches, Bumrah's economy is far better than other bowlers. Sometimes he bowls a loose delivery hoping the batsman will make a mistake and get beaten badly. It's tough being the best.

Sharmila

People are judging him based on IPL form, but he'll give his best for India.
