I genuinely feel this is one of the first movies that gives the survival‑thriller genre its due respect – it never gets boring or dragged out, even though there's no big A‑list star or comedy hero to lean on, and there are no unnecessary comic gags. It's a fun watch that keeps you glued without the urge to scroll through reels out of boredom.

Another thing I love about TU YAAN MAIN is that the makers didn't go for the usual tall, macho hero opposite Shanaya. They chose Adarsh, who is visibly shorter than her, and that sends a strong message – it's absolutely fine for a girl to date a shorter man, and love looks beautiful no matter the height. Their chemistry feels real, like they're actually dating, not just acting.

For me it was the first time seeing both Shanaya and Adarsh on screen, and they both exceeded my expectations, especially Shanaya – more on that later.

If you're watching Adarsh for the first time, this film shows how good an actor he is. He pulls off the vibe of an underground Bombay rapper convincingly – his accent, his emotional yet dead‑pan face when talking about money or family feels like he's living the character, not just playing it.

Shanaya would have shone even brighter if this had been her debut. Even though I haven't seen Gustakhia, this film hints at what she can do if she takes on challenging scripts. Both of them shine in the second half, where the tension of being scared, confused and trying to escape could have felt cringy, but their facial expressions and acting are breathtaking, making you bite your nails waiting to see how they survive.

Overall, it's an amazing movie made possible by a talented cast and crew. Even the brief appearances are impressive, and Bejoy's cinematography is pure perfection.

How does it compare to the original 'The Pool'?

The crocodile scenes were actually decent and the film started strong. They didn't need to Bollywood‑ify it and stretch the romance. A shorter runtime and a tighter screenplay in the first half would have helped, but overall it's still a good watch.

I felt the movie was too long. The survival part was good, but the build‑up wasn't worth it. After seeing so much of the characters, I expected some real development during the survival segment, which never happened. So why show all that just to end it as a survival thriller?

The songs feel random, but the cinematography is excellent. The story could be stronger, yet Adarsh's performance is simply fab.

Madhav

Yeah, it wasn't that bad – even the Kapoor girl was okay in small doses.

This movie was disappointing. I've watched countless survival films, and this felt like a straight‑to‑DVD release, similar to the infamous Final Destination 4. The first half was unnecessary; in a survival film, the drama doesn't matter much. Cutting it short would have helped. The actual survival part didn't pay off after the drawn‑out first half. When the crocodile was sleeping, they did nothing. The lady walking around the water hole instead of swimming to find the opening made no sense. The whole glass‑breaking plan was absurd – she got hurt, they jumped back into the pool, and the gator's leg injury to the male lead was ignored. OP, you need to watch more movies – even the worst Hollywood survival flick would be better than this.

This might be the fifth post today about this movie – definitely feels like a paid promotion or a marketing gimmick.
