Thoughts? Is it true? How does it affect our nation's stance?

From my view, Trump said he'd bomb, but Iran called his bluff. He just needed an excuse not to bomb because it was a bluff from the start. He was trying to raise pressure. Iran didn't budge.

Why should we care and how does it affect us? Iran's ties with us are the same and we've never been close to the US. We need them but can't trust them.

Trump wants to save face and will use any strategy he can. Pakistan is just his puppet.

Deepika

Pakistan can't save itself... let alone a whole civilisation.

Iran was winning the narrative war and Trump couldn't back down looking like a loser after claiming 19 times that he had won. So he asked his faithful servant Pakistan to draft a tweet to massage his ego.

Shehbaz Sharif's blunder, as shown in the tweet below, made it even clearer.

As for India, it makes no difference. The US has backed Pakistan since 1947, which is why our ties with the US weren't great until George Bush pushed the 123 nuclear deal. Relations thawed a bit, but Trump now undoes decades of diplomatic work.

Amit

Lol, it's a circle‑jerk. Shehbaz claimed Mr T saved their "civilisation", now Pakistan gets to say we "saved" a civilisation.

Basically Pakistan is a puppet (check the image). Iran ignored all US demands. Now they're allowed to enrich uranium, stockpile more missiles, etc. If it's over now, it just means Iran won the war.

Pakistan's media wing has strong roots in the left‑leaning lobby.

They're ahead in that arena and we need to get people in those publications to promote us.

Pradeep

They can "save" a tiny civilisation, but they can't save themselves from the Taliban.

Math not math‑ing, maybe?

Our nation is opportunistic. We didn't condemn the killing of the Iranian leader even though NATO members like Spain did, despite India having deeper ties with Iran. We didn't condemn the Israeli bombing of Lebanon or its illegal occupation of Palestine because of some military tech. We didn't condemn Russia's aggression in Ukraine (which was somewhat understandable). In the recent clash with Pakistan, the world saw us as the aggressor, not Pakistan. We bowed to Trump and still got higher tariffs than any other country.

The Indian FM said we don't need to join the peace process; Pakistan was already involved and has a role in the ceasefire. They did better than us, whether we like it or not.
