Science stream sucks – nobody warns you till it’s too late

Qualifications – PCB (worst decision of my life). Like most folks with a bio background, I was told to do BSc and prep for NEET. I gave it my best for 3 years but still didn't clear it. After all that mental exhaustion, I took up Physiotherapy because it seemed like the next reasonable option.

Six months in, I already felt something was off. Family pressure kept me going, so I pushed through almost 5 semesters — until clinical rotations started. That's when it became impossible to ignore. Physiotherapy is very hands‑on; it needs a kind of passion and physical skill that I just didn't have. I wasn't enjoying it, I was drained every single day and there were many other reasons!!

I might sound stupid, but I dropped out.

Now I'm here. No clear skill. No clear direction. Super exhausted. Wondering what the hell I'm supposed to do next — masters? certification? job? something else entirely?

I'm open to anything I'm realistically eligible for. The only thing I know for sure is I really want to do something in life. I cannot afford, mentally or otherwise, to spend more time on something that goes nowhere again.

Should I think about something completely different from my stream?

Complete your degree any how and start prepping for govt exams like banking, SSC‑CGL or your state SSC. Your stream doesn't matter here – just work hard with dedication. That's the quickest way to start earning in 1‑2 years.

Or you could try some coding certificates to get into the corporate world, though it'll be tougher with a PCB background.

If you still want to stay in the healthcare field, consider master's programmes like Hospital Administration – you can build a career in a related area. Many Masters in Public Health courses also give preference to candidates from a medical‑science background, so that's another option if it interests you.
