So, the bank credited around 55 percent of the total subsidy for my education loan after I filed an RBI complaint, and now they're asking me to close the complaint. The branch is in my hometown and they're calling me really aggressively to get it closed. The bank is SBI. Has anyone else gone through something like this? Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

You should record those calls and file another complaint for harassment

Krishna

Just send them an email saying they should stop calling you repeatedly and ask them to send any updates about the complaint via email instead.

Kavitha

It's pretty sad that they can't even do their job properly and now they're harassing you for complaining. You should file another complaint for harassment.

Record the calls and send the recordings to the RBI Ombudsman via email, and make sure to cc the bank.

Sneha

Don't close it. Let the RBI handle it and close it. The reason it's at the Ombudsman level is precisely why you shouldn't close it.

Danny

Just record the calls so you can submit them to the Ombudsman if needed. And let the bank know that the complaint will be closed only when it's fully resolved. Also, tell them to communicate only through email for a paper trail, and that you can't act on calls.

Anil

It's really frustrating how these bank people don't do their job and then call you to harass you into closing the complaint. They're not even doing their job properly.

Divya

You can also file a complaint with the RBI Ombudsman about the bank harassing you to close the complaint, and you might even get some compensation for the mental anguish.

Hey, I'm dealing with a similar issue with my bank. I haven't filed an Ombudsman complaint yet, just on the CPGRAMS portal. Can I DM you about it?
