Escaped HDFC ULIP trap in Yr 1

I realized my ULIP was a bad investment. HDFC Bank illegally refused to cancel my NACH mandate to stop premium payments. I escalated using RBI/NPCI guidelines and went to the HDFC Life branch to surrender. The staff lied to me, saying I couldn't surrender during the lock-in. I pulled out the policy document and proved them wrong. After escalating to 3 managers, my policy is officially surrendered!

Glad you took them on and came out on top! ULIPs are usually not worth it. Keep insurance and investments separate and read the fine print.
