It gets tough before it gets better, just like everything else in life, so just keep going

Devansh

exercising at a low intensity for a long time is what works for me

No, walking is really good for losing fat, if you are not losing weight even after walking 10k steps every day, then you need to check your calorie intake

I have lost around 7.6 kg till now by just doing 10k steps a day since 18th December 2025, and I am on an 85 day streak, have been to the gym maybe 14 days on and off, since I live on a ship, just make sure you are in a calorie deficit

Chandni

I think you are getting a lot of things mixed up, to lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit, which means consuming less calories than you normally do, so if you combine a calorie deficit with a high protein diet, exercise, good sleep, and drinking enough water, it will help you lose weight and fat, and also prevent muscle loss

James

I think what you eat matters more than walking or running, and lifting heavy weights also helps in losing fat without losing muscle

it is just amazing how much people underestimate the importance of tracking calories with a kitchen scale, and then they are confused about why they are gaining weight

Gregg

I think one thing that makes losing fat difficult for a lot of us is the whole concept of having a cheat meal once a week, which influencers say is alright, but it really depends on what you are eating and where you are eating it, because most of the tasty food we get outside in India is so high in calories that one bad meal can mess up your calorie deficit for the whole week
