I'm not a bot, just sharing my personal story – AMA.

We saved, planned and dreamed of our first overseas trip to Bali. Instead of landing in paradise, we're now filing complaints in consumer court.

The reality of booking with Thrillophilia:
- The shock: On April 9, just days before departure, we were told our flights were cancelled and we asked for help to save the trip.
- The silence: For three critical days Thrillophilia gave no clear communication, no cost details and no solutions. We were left in limbo while our bags were already packed.
- The "solution": Less than 24 hours before the scheduled flight they finally sent "alternatives." The catch? They wanted us to pay nearly ₹2,00,000 extra for a new flight.
- The betrayal: When we refused, they refunded the flight but kept the entire land‑package payment, claiming hotels and tours are "non‑refundable" even though they never got us to the country.

It's heartbreaking to have our first global adventure ripped away not just by bad luck but by a total lack of service and basic empathy from a travel partner.

Thrillophilia has left us with no trip, no support and a huge financial loss. We are now approaching the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) to fight for what's right.

Travelers beware: If you value your hard‑earned money and peace of mind, think twice before trusting this platform. A "package" is a promise, and they broke it.

Litigation and a chargeback seem to be the only ways out.

Atharv

I'm going to request a chargeback on my credit card.

In this day and age, it's surprising how people still fall for third‑party agents. Before paying, can't they do a basic search of the agent's name plus "complaints"?

Shilpa

It's always better to book flight tickets and hotels directly with the airlines or hotels. The only big thing to take care of is local logistics, which you can arrange through local travel agencies. Bali is very tourist‑friendly; they depend on tourism and provide good support.

I visited Vietnam with my 5‑month‑old baby and handled everything on my own – no brokers, no middlemen. The whole experience was smooth, though I had to do a lot of research. We stayed in serviced apartments and lived like locals for 14 days. Could have stayed longer if not for some rituals back home.

Riya

Sorry about your experience. We visited Japan last year and booked everything ourselves or used Klook for a few tours. It's better to invest time than trust these operators. Hope justice prevails.

Thrillophilia is a big thief. If you file a case, you could get double your money back.

Suresh

Check the terms and conditions in the itinerary – if they say something, they usually stick to it, sadly.

Manoj

That's why I never trust booking agencies – only horror and back‑stabbing stories. My advice: book your trips yourself. It's easier and cheaper than you think. If something goes wrong, you improvise... and over time you get good at handling anything.

Murali

Bruh, just do it on your own. I've never once booked a tour to manage every aspect of a trip. Maybe for a single outing, but never a whole package.
