"His (Rahane) numbers in the last four years aren't bad at all. He averages 30 and scores at a strike rate of 148 across about 30 games. Folks are even suggesting dropping him, but that's a better record than Rohit's in the same period and matches Ishan Kishan's. No one's calling for Kishan to be dropped, so the frustration makes sense." [Cricbuzz]

MI, please let Rohit Sharma go. We'd love to see him in a different jersey after 16 years stuck in blue.

Doull is the only commentator with some guts; he even suggested Kohli be benched yesterday, something no Indian pundit would dare. The real issue is the fan‑driven cancel culture that silences outspoken voices, forcing them onto YouTube after losing commentary gigs. Those left are now forced to kiss up to the 'stars'. They can't even critique the new talent like Aniket, Salil, Samad or Jitesh, who aren't IPL‑standard.

Poor Deep Das Gupta is terrified; he defended Miller yesterday while Ravi Shastri rushed in with 'he won't repeat it'. A brave commentator would have pointed out that Miller not only lost two points that day but also the momentum for DC, just as Klaasen single‑handedly handed SRH a loss. Congratulations to everyone for ruining commentary. Now enjoy your fan‑favourite pundits praising ROKO and the so‑called 'talented' newbies.

Since 2023:

Rahane – 30 avg, 148 SR
Rohit – 28 avg, 147 SR

Rahane usually batted one down, a tougher spot, so calling him 'better' is a stretch.

Harini

Yaar, Rohit started getting knocked out yesterday but then he just faded away.

Niraj

He isn't blamed for his batting; it's his captaincy that draws fire. The red ball is a different game, but in white‑ball he's a sub‑par skipper.

Isha

Rohit's been one of the poorest IPL batters lately. People overlook his poor form because he's got five trophies.

Benny

100 % – Jinx's batting has been better in the IPL.
