Not CTC. Not in‑hand. I'm curious about real savings after rent, lifestyle and other expenses. I've seen folks earning ₹15 LPA saving nothing, while others save a lot. What's your actual monthly savings?

Douglas

With a ₹20 LPA salary, my monthly savings are roughly ₹20,000‑₹25,000.

Varun

My income varies, but I usually set aside at least 50 % each month.

Damini

I'm on a ₹24 LPA package and manage to save about ₹80,000 each month.

Shivam

I earn ₹2 LPA and manage to save about ₹1.5 LPA per month.

Jayant

I'm still living with my parents and not married yet, so most costs are covered. My usual outgo is just ₹5,000‑₹10,000 a month. Major expenses like a new fridge may pop up, but I generally save or invest about 80 % of my salary.

Ansh

On a fixed ₹12 LPA, I'm not saving anything now because I moved out to Mumbai; otherwise I'd be saving a lot.

Chetan

I and my husband together take home about ₹3.55 L per month.
- Rent: ₹29,500
- Maintenance + electricity: ₹5,500
- Groceries: ₹15,000 (we're health freaks)
- Investments (SIP, gold coins, direct equity): ₹2.5 L
- Subscriptions & Wi‑Fi: ₹2,500
- Travel fund: ₹40,000 (we go abroad every 6 months)

The remaining ₹10,000‑₹12,000 goes to sports, petrol, eating out, etc.

Edit –
We have a paid‑off car. We bought a Brezza 2022 for ₹17 L (including accessories) with a ₹10 L loan and ₹7 L down payment in Feb 2023. We cleared the loan by Sep 2025 by paying extra EMIs.
Both of us use iPhones and MacBooks, which we haven't upgraded in the last 3 years and don't plan to for at least another 3 years, so no electronics expense right now.
We don't have kids yet (planning for next year). We're both 30. Any extra shopping comes from the leftover ₹10,000‑₹12,000 if needed.

Manish

Feels odd not knowing the city—₹25 LPA in Mumbai isn't the same as ₹25 LPA in Chennai.

Saloni

Seeing the comments makes me feel down—everyone seems super rich. I earn ₹5.8 LPA, save about ₹30,000 a month, work from home, I'm 26, and my only savings are my fixed deposits and trips every three months.
