I quit JEE coaching at the start of 12th grade and applied overseas. I got offers from a few universities in the UK and US, but finally landed a full scholarship at HKU. Feel free to ask anything—you're welcome to drop your doubts, I'll be happy to help juniors or anyone who's switched tracks.

Chirag

What are their acceptance criteria?

Madhu

Guys, please share everything:
1) Academic background – JEE scores, board results, and the admission criteria.
2) How you got in, why you chose it, and since when you're there.
3) What opportunities are there, which course you're doing.
4) How's life in HK? English works, right? What's the vibe?
Most important – how much does it cost, fee structure, all that.
I've asked a lot already, but if you can add more details, please reply.

What are your SAT and IELTS (or TOEFL) scores?

Indrajit

Provide more details if you want us to trust your claim.

Anjali

Did you submit IELTS, etc.? Any extracurriculars? Did they ask for any extra documents during the application?

Adarsh

Bro dropped a massive bomb and then vanished from the comments as if he never was there.

Shyam

These days, even without studying much, you can get into a top foreign university.

Manoj

Bro, when you start an AMA, you also have to answer the questions.

James

Hey buddy, first of all, congratulations!

I have a few questions:
1) How did you study—self‑study or any online coaching for SAT and IELTS? How did you polish your English?
2) What was the cost of the four AP courses?
3) How many extracurriculars did you take?
4) How did you prepare for the AP subjects and exams?
5) Which syllabus did you follow—CBSE, ICSE, IB or IGCSE?
6) What's the process to apply to these top‑ranked universities?
7) Are there any application fees?
8) How tough is the IELTS?

I'd really appreciate your answers, OP.

All the best and keep shining!
