Myntra gave expired product with fake label

This post is to raise awareness. I bought the "BEAUTY OF JOSEON" Dynasty cream from Myntra and they shipped it with a manufacturing date of 2025 and an expiry date of 2028.

After using it two or three times I felt something was off, so I checked the batch code on an authentic site called "Bioderma batch code checker". It told me that the BOJ Dynasty cream was actually manufactured in 2020 – a six‑year‑old product that should already be expired. In other words, they put a fake label on it. I've attached screenshots as proof.

When I called Myntra customer support they said they can't do anything because the sticker says 2025. I'm not asking for a refund or return; I just want to warn others about this scam.

They are basically cheating people and risking health and emotions. Folks spend hard‑earned money on expensive beauty products hoping for healthy, glowing skin, and this kind of fraud hurts them.

Many customers might face the same issue but may not notice it because they trust Myntra blindly.

As you can imagine, using the wrong product can damage the skin barrier. I want everyone to know that Myntra is not a reliable source for beauty items – it's a waste of money and can harm your skin.

I think you should take some action against Myntra for everyone's sake; this could ruin someone's life. Also, you might have a strong case – with a good lawyer you could change this practice and even get compensation.

Vikas

You should get in touch with the brand, OP.

Aman

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the website you used is for Bioderma, while the cream is from BOJ. I'm not sure how a Bioderma batch‑code checker would have data for a BOJ product?

Daksha

OP, those batch‑code sites are not reliable. The cream itself says it expires in 2028. Those checkers aren't official for Beauty of Joseon, so the result is likely wrong. You should contact the brand directly; if they confirm it's expired, then you have a case and can pursue action and compensation. But if the product isn't actually expired, there's no ground for a claim.

Even if a skincare product is only on Myntra, I won't buy it. I've read many reviews about fake, damaged and expired items from them. I'd rather stick to Tira or Nykaa.
