Why the hate for this?

I can't take whey because I'm lactose intolerant and I'm also on GLP‑1, so digestion matters a lot. This isn't a sponsored post – I bought it with my own money. It's my first protein powder and I knew from the start that plant protein tends to be chalky or powdery because of the fibre, so I expected that.

I expected it to be unbearable, but it's not bad. The brand passes all the checks – clean ingredients and even real fruit and cocoa in the flavours, which is impressive and justifies the price since fruit and cocoa are pricey even if the plant protein itself isn't.

I blend it with half a frozen banana, a splash of date syrup and sometimes peanut butter. It tastes decent once you get past the grainy feel, the protein‑to‑calorie ratio is good and it doesn't cause bloating. I love it. Has anyone tried the summer flavours? Are they any good?

The main drawback of plant protein is its lower leucine content compared to whey, which can limit muscle‑building benefits. If you come across a plant protein with enough leucine, let me know!

If you're talking about Cosmix Plant Protein, it's known for being way overpriced. There are plenty of other brands that offer plant protein at a lower price with equal or even better quality.

Samar

It's really tough to drink – the cacao flavour was especially difficult.

I have some questions about GLP‑1 – may I ask?

I'm lactose intolerant, so I have this as my breakfast: one scoop of protein, half a banana and 200 ml of lactose‑free milk. The milk and banana mask the taste nicely. I've been on this routine for a year and I'm happy with it. My gut is sensitive but I've had no issues. I saw many people say they can't gulp it down; when I first tried it with water it didn't taste great, but once you blend it with lactose‑free milk and banana you'll want it every day. Flavours I enjoy – Mahabaleshwar Strawberry, Malnad Arabica (my favourite) and Chikmagalur Mocha.

I switch between the Kerala vanilla bean and Mahabaleshwar strawberry a lot. I blend the vanilla flavour into my overnight oats and usually mix the strawberry with water.

I'm loving it, loving it, loving it! I've been reordering the vanilla flavour for the past 3‑4 months. I'm fine with the chalky texture – it's just how it is. I take Cosmix in the morning and only the whey I need in the evening.

I've tried almost every Cosmix plant‑protein flavour and I agree – other brands don't offer as many options. My top picks are the chilli‑guava, pineapple, watermelon and cocoa‑beet flavours. They're pricey, but I stock up on 3‑4 packs when they're 30‑35 % off. I have a desk job (8‑10 hrs sitting) and do a moderate hour‑long workout daily. I never get bloating or gas with Cosmix, so I'd say it's a solid protein brand.

It's chalky, tastes bad and doesn't mix well.
