Hey I am a class 10 student and I really want to get into research fields like genetic engineering or biotechnology, but I am having a tough time figuring out which stream is best for me. I know maths is compulsory for research, but what about biology then. Can I take physics, chemistry, and maths and still pursue bio-based research fields like these. I did not find the answers I got from google very convincing, they just said yes you can, but practically it does not make sense to me, how can I get into biology without studying it. Taking all four subjects, physics, chemistry, maths, and biology, is not an option for me, I know I won't be able to handle it. And to be honest, my interest is

Hey I am so glad I stumbled upon your post this morning, so I work in neuroscience and I am doing research on epilepsy, and yes you can get into genetic engineering with physics, chemistry, and maths, but you will have to take a different route, maybe through biotechnology. However, I would like to discuss your interests and career plans in more detail, feel free to message me directly
