Google's AI summary in search actually saved Google, to be honest.

Ritvik

Not gonna lie, these days I use ChatGPT more than Google even for searching.

Kiran

People often search for ChatGPT on Google before they open it.

Ritvik

Another day, another person comparing market cap with GDP.

Harini

Google was never really dead; its search + ads are just too sticky. AI changes behaviour but doesn't kill the business, it just shifts it.

Bhavana

I never get why people make such a stupid comparison. The market capitalisation of a company is the total value it has built over its whole life. A country's GDP is the amount it generates in a year. It's like comparing net worth with monthly salary.

Madhu

The post is misleading, but the harsh truth is Google's value is close to the entire Indian stock market, which is about $4.7 trillion to $5 trillion.

Saloni

Maybe that guy didn't know Google has been working on AI since 2012 (Google set up DeepMind that year).

Akbar

Google is literally the gateway to the internet. They have the best all-in-one AI, the second-best browser (the first is obviously Brave), they own the Chromium project, Android, YouTube – the only real video-sharing platform – the most used email service, they even make quantum chips, etc. I could go on, but Google is truly a powerhouse. The only thing they're missing right now is a computer OS that runs on both x86 and ARM.
