One of my friends is preparing for SSC CGL and UPSC CSE, she told me that an inspector earns around two lakhs under the table on a daily basis. I work in the corporate sector and that's not even my monthly salary. Is it really true that these government folks earn that much that the private sector guys can't even imagine earning in their lifetime. If yes then why isn't everyone trying for a government job including the highly intelligent people from IITs and NITs or the top colleges. She has made me really doubt, like I will never be able to earn the amount of money that they earn in five years itself, it's crazy

not true at all. inspector posts are getting increasingly digitized. also not everyone does that. even if that's true, it's around eight crores. how and where will you hide this money. it's impossible to hide this much money. no chance for SSC CGL, with UPSC, I agree, there are special structures to help you launder it, government officials and fellow officials help you with it

Pooja

Because of people like you who would do anything for money, India will remain underdeveloped forever

Swathi

I agree, you should quit your job and study for government jobs so that you can be on the other side

Yeah bro, quit your corporate job as soon as possible and start preparing for SSC CGL, don't trust other comments, they don't want you to know how much you can make in this career. You still have time for SSC CGL 2026, show your manager that you're not afraid to take risks and quit that rat race of corporate

taking the stupidity bar too high for this sub, I see

Your friend should be ashamed of herself if she's preparing for these exams with a goal of taking under the table money. People like her are the biggest culprits of this country, these people when they get selected destroy the very institutions which were set up for the betterment of people. Anyway, ethics are also taught for CSE, but I guess she has other things on her mind, like getting rich quickly, shame on her

It's not that easy to clear government exams, the competition is fierce. Half of the candidates are already qualified and are just looking to improve their ranks, then there are veterans, prodigies, and common people who take the exam for stability and fame. There's a reason why Indian youth is highly unproductive and a burden on the country's resources

Aditya

two lakhs under the table, who is that inspector

Ashok

two lakhs per day under the table, even some IPS or income tax officers don't make that much money, two lakhs per month is somewhat believable
