Punched & bullied for reservation

This is my alt account.

I saw a post where you all were abusing that ST student for having reservation.

I'm an SC candidate, scoring around 95 percentile.

It's not my fault that I have reservation; I didn't choose my caste.

But some people just don't get it.

Our coaching separates students who qualified for the advanced batch from the regular ones.

Guess who had their notes ripped apart?

Guess who got their glasses broken?

And guess who was punched in the face for qualifying for the advanced cut‑off as a general candidate?

What's my fault here?

That I'm getting a college seat with lower marks?

I saw someone comment that with 30 marks an SC student can get into the top 7 IITs for CSE.

No, we're not that lucky.

Is it easier? Yes.

Is it THAT easy? No, it isn't.

I know the reservation system has flaws, I also know some people forge certificates.

I also know that rich SC/ST students who are on equal footing don't need reservation.

But what can I do about it?

How is that my fault?

If you were in my shoes, would you turn down this chance?

Who among you is that noble?

There are sensible people here who see both sides, but many of you picture the SC/ST guy as a rich villain who never studies.

Not every SC/ST person is a rich villain who doesn't study, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. The system is outdated and flawed; the few "rich villains" steal opportunities meant for poor SC/ST folks in villages facing heavy discrimination. I hate the reservation system, but I'm sure I hate racism and casteism more. Sorry for what happened to you, please file a case ASAP. None of this is your fault.

People act like they'd reject reservation if they were general candidates. Honestly, I wouldn't turn it down if I got reservation; we should use every advantage we have.
