We had planned to arrive early, but while looking for the Kumbalangi we saw in the movie, we kept wandering. During one such attempt we hit a dead end, with backwaters stretching ahead and no barriers in sight. We stopped for a bit and saw a bunch of local lads sipping sunset black tea with loud music blasting. Not going to lie, we felt a little jealous of their vibe. Eventually we found this picturesque road. Our hearts lifted again and, for a moment, it truly felt like we were on holiday again.
