Stuck in NEET 3 yrs, need career advice

my quals: 12th pass.

I've been caught in this NEET drop‑year loop for 3 years now (20 F). It was never my dream – I did it because of family pressure and I regret not standing up for myself, not exploring my interests or choosing what I want. I see my friends moving on from their NEET phase, picking other careers, and they all look happy and healthy. I can't even recall the last time I felt genuinely excited or happy about anything. My mental health is suffering a lot and nobody in my family gets it. I even wrote a "letter" once but didn't have the courage to give it, I just wanted to express my feelings.

So, coming to the point: I've decided to quit NEET after this year's exam if it doesn't go well. Please suggest good career options that can give me a decent salary.

My backup plan is BBA then MBA, but I'm not sure because, as my mother says, "MBA toh har koi karta hai".

Please don't suggest any paramedical courses. I don't want anything medical unless it's MBBS.

Nursing is a good option. Don't feel inferior or look down on other healthcare fields – every job has its own dignity.

I'd suggest taking B Pharma, bioinformatics, nursing, or any BSc you like, then doing an MBA from a top‑tier college. An MBA from a top school will give you an edge.

Please choose a professional course; don't settle for a regular degree.

If you want to stay in biology, nursing and dentistry are solid choices. Otherwise, avoid BSc or biotechnology – they can be dead ends. You could switch to economics and then do an MBA. BBA followed by MBA is also a good route, but you'll need to score very well in CAT and get into a tier‑1 or tier‑2 college to land a good job. I wish you luck – I also wasted years on NEET and later on a biology degree, and I regret it a lot.

Many people do an MBA in HR, but only those with a high CAT percentile get into good colleges.

Tell your aunt that not everyone goes to an IIM, and show your family placement reports from top MBA colleges. I was in the same boat; I did an MBA from an IIM to get some academic redemption. Being a doctor was my childhood dream, but a relaxed corporate life isn't bad either.
