Title: Shampoo Suggestions for Oily Scalp and Straight Hair
Post by: Naresh on Mar 06, 2026, 11:09 PM
Hey, can you suggest a good shampoo for me? My scalp gets super oily by the third day and I have straight hair that looks kinda thin and limp. My hair is pretty healthy otherwise. I've used Loreal shampoo and conditioner before, and also tried Probio shampoo - they were all okay, but I want to try something new now. I'm trying to take better care of my hair, so I'm open to suggestions. Also, can you recommend a conditioner? I usually skip it because I get lazy after shampooing, but I'd love to know why using a conditioner makes such a big difference - maybe that'll motivate me to start using it again! Thanks a ton!

I totally swear by the Vatika shampoo and Loreal Hyaluron Moisture conditioner combo

Hi, I've got straight and fine hair that gets oily really fast too. Some shampoos that I've liked are Moxie, Scalpe if you've got dandruff or itching, Mise en Scene, and Khadi Naturals. Whatever shampoo you pick, just make sure to shampoo your hair twice. And I think gel-like shampoos work better than the creamy ones.

Honestly, you can't really control oil that much, so you'll have to wash your hair every 2-3 days. You could try using salicylic acid based shampoos or pharmacy shampoos and do a double shampoo every time you wash.

I've found that the Schwarzkopf Arginine shampoo is the only one that works for my oily scalp and dry hair - it's like they're finally in agreement!
