That's what I mean by real larger‑than‑life characters. Amitabh Bachchan in *Deewaar*, Amjad Khan in *Sholay*, Amrish Puri in *Mr. India*—they truly owned the screen. Then there's Manoj Bajpayee in *Gangs of Wasseypur*, Dilip Kumar in *Ganga Jamuna*, Sunny Deol in *Ghatak*, and Aamir Khan in *Dangal*—characters with real weight and impact. Nowadays folks toss 'larger‑than‑life' at anything flashy.

Amazing Bollywood—I've admired it with all my heart.
Where's Chulbul Pandey from *Dabangg*?
Someone tried to sneak Aamir Khan in there.
Akshay in *Rowdy* and Salman in *Dabangg*/*Wanted* are way bigger than Aamir in *Dangal*.
Aamir's body is just...
That robot Sunny Deol? Lol. Put Santino Marella instead.
For me, a larger‑than‑life character mixes stature, aura, weight and light. They're more than flesh and blood, often with a bright halo or a distinct voice. I agree on Amjad Khan's Gabbar Singh, Amitabh's Vijay Verma and Amrish's Mogambo. Here are a few more:
- Nargis in *Mother India*
- Prithviraj Kapoor in *Mughal‑e‑Azam*
- Balraj Sahni in *Kabuliwala*
- Pran in *Upkar*
- Ashok Kumar in *Aashirwad*
- Kader Khan (voice) in *Benaam*
- Rekha in *Umrao Jaan*
- Kiran Kumar in *Tezaab*
- Anuradha Patel in *Ijaazat*
- Nana Patekar in *Thodasa Roomani Ho Jaayen*
- Amitabh Bachchan in *Agneepath*
- Pooja Bhatt in *Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee*
- Nirmal Pandey in *Bandit Queen*
- Vijay Maurya in *Black Friday*
- Amitabh Bachchan in *Black*
- Vijay Raaz in *Anwar*
- Naseeruddin Shah in *Being Cyrus*
- Neeraj Kabi in *Ship of Theseus*
- Irrfan Khan in *Haider*
- Herry Tangri in *MS Dhoni: The Untold Story*
I think you missed Vicky Kaushal as Major Vihaan Shergill in *URI*.
Brother, Akshaye Khanna in *Dhurandhar*.
