any LL.M. or equivalent law degree offered online, hybrid, distance, or under labels like "LL.M. (Professional)" or "Executive LL.M." is
unauthorised without explicit BCI approval
That means:
- 🛑 Degrees from such programmes are null & void ab initio - not valid for judicial service, teaching appointments, promotions, research registrations, or UGC‑NET eligibility
- BCI has already sent show‑cause notices to top institutions like NLIU Bhopal, IIT Kharagpur, Jindal Global, and NLU Delhi
- High Courts and the Supreme Court have been asked to reject such credentials unless candidates can show written proof of BCI sanctions
