I graduated from IIT BHU and gave 3 UPSC attempts — 2 Mains and 1 Interview. Missed the final list by 26 marks.
That was when I accepted a hard truth: UPSC is not my path. Grateful for the journey, but now moving ahead.
Alongside preparation, I was working in tech and eventually built a small tool for myself.
I wanted it to answer things like:
* which micro‑topics I keep getting wrong
* whether my elimination strategy actually works
* how much of my score comes from guesses versus clear knowledge
I also added topic‑wise PYQs and practice questions with explanations since I kept revisiting them.
It helped me organise my revision much better, especially for the static sections.
Now that I've decided to move on to the next phase, I've made it public and open‑source. Completely free — no ads, no paid features.
Not sharing any link here to respect subreddit rules, but happy to share if anyone's interested.
# A small note
* If anyone wants to contribute, improve, or build on top of this — you're most welcome
I couldn't make it to the list. But if this helps even a few of you get there, it's worth it.
All the best for Prelims.
All the best for your next journey.
Your senior from IIT BHU. Wishing you all the best for your future endeavours.
I'm your junior from IIT BHU, bhaiya.
It would mean a lot if you could guide me...
Also a graduate from IIT BHU, gave 3 attempts and 2 interviews. The parallels are kinda chilling, lol. I haven't left the journey yet.
Happy to chat in DM if you need.
Can you share the important topics for Prelims and Mains?
All the best for your next chapter. Though I think you could consider one more attempt while pursuing another career.
The destination doesn't decide the beauty of the journey. All the best for your future endeavours.
All the best for your future. Go crush it!
Bhai, you've done the interview, next time it'll happen for sure. Why are you leaving a job that's there? No gap, so what's the issue?
Chin up, champ ❤️
