Man, Aamir Khan's physique in the opening of Dangal was just
insane—properly built, strong, and totally believable as a wrestler. It didn't look like a typical 'actor body'; it felt raw and authentic. And his rural Haryanvi accent was
spot‑on, never forced or over‑the‑top. The way he combined the physicality and the dialect made the character feel really real!
Total propaganda movie, lol.
The body was good, but the accent wasn't. Jaideep Ahlawat, being a native, nailed the Haryanvi accent. Aamir isn't great with it. Look at Paan Singh Tomar—how effortlessly Irrfan did the accent. Jaideep Ahlawat delivered the best Haryanvi in Paatal Lok; he's native, so it was expected.
I wish Aamir Khan could come back like that.
Even today I'm puzzled why Aamir, at his peak, looked at the 'Thugs of Hindustan' script and thought it would work.
Seriously, the dialogue writing hit its peak right here.
He should stick to biographical roles. At least then his acting won't ruin the film. He just mimics the character and it looks okay!
This movie made a huge impact in my village.
Mr. Perfectionist, and there's a reason for that.
Wouldn't a state champion know who the recent national champions are? In those circles, people usually know each other, especially if they both work in Haryana state government departments—they'd be from the same circuit.
