Just curious, how's life treating you now? What are you doing?

I didn't fail, but I was very close and had to take improvement exams. It felt like life was over back then, everyone moving ahead while I was stuck. Fast forward a few years—no one cares now. Nobody in college or at work ever asks about my 12th marks or how many attempts I took. Both toppers and those who barely passed are figuring life out the same way. If you failed 12th, clear it through NIOS or improvement; it's not that hard the second time because you know the syllabus. Then move on—college, diploma, skill course, job, business, whatever. 12th is just a checkpoint, not the destination. The worst thing is sitting in guilt and doing nothing; the second worst is letting others' opinions decide your next step. Clear the exam, pick a direction, and start walking. Life is way longer than one board result.
I'm doing well and staying optimistic. I failed the 2024 CBSE 12th exam, faced a lot of setbacks, and then enrolled in a 3‑year diploma in CSE that same year, deciding not to waste time repeating the failure. I'm about to finish my second year by May and have been doing internships and projects to keep my skills sharp. The third year will end by early 2027, after which I plan to join a BTech program in the second year through lateral entry. I'll be around 21‑22 then, still without a degree, but getting one by 24 is better than having none. So, chin up—don't waste time dwelling on the outcome. Move on, try alternative options like I did, and keep progressing. Good luck.
Well, my brother also failed PCM in 12th because he didn't study, no excuse. He was a JEE aspirant, so the home atmosphere got pretty toxic after the results. He bounced back with 89% the next year, did BSc Physics from BHU (CUET), cleared IIT JAM, completed MSc at IIT Delhi and is now pursuing a PhD at ICTS Bangalore.
They might not be on an education subreddit like this one, hehe... or maybe they are, which is cool.
Failing 12th isn't the end of the world! If you need help with maths, just hit me up!
A friend of mine failed 12th, and now he's a senior engineer at Oracle.
I almost failed math (scored 47) in 12th, and now I'm studying medicine in Georgia.
I almost failed chemistry, got 27 out of 70, then pursued chemical engineering :) and now I'm working in a Big 4 firm.
I failed maths in the 12th boards 2022, but I'll be interning at a Big 4 soon. Let's see what comes next.
Two of my peers failed 12th while I scored the highest. One is now an advocate, the other an engineer in Italy. I'm currently unemployed :)
